was again seen in the County. It was sitting next to the Riverside Freeway
on a telephone pole west of Weir Canyon today, Wednesday.

Also today, at Irvine Regional Park a female type RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER was
seen around the NE corner of the park...foraging around the volleyball
court.

Yesterday, a possibly wintering MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER was heard and seen at
Shipley Nature Center on the west side of Huntington Central Park. Other
birds of note for Shipley include GRAY FLYCATCHER (Friday and Sunday),
WHITE-THROATED SPARROW (Sunday), BROWN CREEPER (Friday), and HAMMONDS
FLYCATCHER (Friday).

On the east side of Huntington Central Park a CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER was
north of the library (Tuesday), the continuing EURASIAN WIGEON was around
the flooded area (Monday), and CACKLING GOOSE (Friday).

Also yesterday (Tuesday), a continuing SNOW GOOSE was on the Santa Ana River
at Lincoln Ave, first sighted last Friday.

On private property (Tree of Life Nursery off of Ortega Highway) in the
large oak tree near the barn on Friday, and on the deck next to the sales
office on Monday, an immature male AMERICAN REDSTART was sighted. The area
is open to the general public in the areas where the bird was seen on
Thursday through Saturday 9 am-4 pm.

Last Friday at Tri City Park in Placentia both a MEW and FRANKLIN GULL were
found.
