In McKees Rocks on the Ohio River on 12/2, 1 PIED-BILLED GREBE, 32 HOODED
MERGANSERS (MV); on 12/4, 6 PIED-BILLED GREBES, 1 HORNED GREBE, 1 AMERICAN
BLACK DUCK, , 3 LESSER SCAUP, ~250 RING-BILLED GULLS (DY).
At Neville Island on 12/4, 18 HORNED GREBES, 1 SURF SCOTER (DY), and 2
PIED-BILLED GREBES (MV).
At Dashield's Dam on 12/4, ~1,500 RING-BILLED GULLS, 2 HOODED MERGANSERS
(MV).
In Sewickley on 12/4, 2 SURF SCOTERS, 1 drake LONG-TAILED DUCK (MV).
Beaver County:
At a home in Aliquippa on 11/27, an adult female RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD was
banded by the Powdermill Nature Reserve banding team; the bird remains
present through 12/3 (AL, GM, RM, MV, MF). The bird is said to have been
present since mid-October.
On 12/4 along the Ohio River between Raccoon Creek and Montgomery Dam, 2
BONAPARTE'S GULLS among the RING-BILLED GULLS and HERRING GULLS (MV).
At Little Blue Lake on 12/4, WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS, 1 NORTHERN HARRIER,
100+ AMERICAN ROBINS, 2 NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRDS, 2 HORNED LARKS (MV).
Crawford County:
On 11/30 and 12/1 in the Pymatuning area, sightings included COMMON LOON,
PIED-BILLED GREBE, SNOW GOOSE (at the Fish Hatchery), AMERICAN WIGEON,
AMERICAN BLACK DUCK, NORTHERN SHOVELER, BUFFLEHEAD, COMMON GOLDENEYE, many
HOODED MERGANSERS, COMMON MERGANSERS, RUDDY DUCKS, DOUBLE-CRESTED
CORMORANT, WILD TURKEY, BALD EAGLE, 2 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS, ALBINO RED-
TAILED HAWK, AMERICAN COOT (Conneaut Lake), AMERICAN KESTREL, BONAPARTE'S
GULLS, RING-BILLED GULLS among more common species (MB).

Other sightings at Presque Isle on 12/1 included an immature
PARASITIC/POMARINE JAEGER observed chasing gulls at Gull Point; an adult
PEREGRINE FALCON and a NORTHERN SHRIKE each perched in the tops of trees
between Pine Tree and Dead Pond trails; a RED-NECKED GREBE off the tip of
the north pier; and all three SCOTER SP. still remain off Beach 11 (JM).
On 12/3 A RED-NECKED GREBE was present off Niagara boat launch around
11:00 AM (JM).
Forest County:
On 11/27 in the Tionesta area, 1 adult and 2 immature BALD EAGLES, 3 BROWN-
HEADED COWBIRDS, 1 PURPLE FINCH; on 11/30, WHITE-THROATED SPARROW,
AMERICAN TREE SPARROW; on 12/1, 2 COMMON MERGANSERS, 7 HOODED MERGANSERS,
1 immature and 2 adult BALD EAGLES at the Tionesta Lake Outflow, 2 PURPLE
FINCHES; on 12/3, 10 PINE SISKINS; on 12/4, 2 AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS (FM).
Indiana County:
Near Shelocta on 12/2, 3 RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES, 5 FOX SPARROWS, 1 WHITE-
CROWNED SPARROW, 2 PURPLE FINCHES (MH).
Lawrence County:
On 11/27 in Plain Grove, 1 MERLIN (DY); on 12/3 in Plain Grove at McConahy
Road, RING-NECKED DUCKS, LESSER SCAUP, AMERICAN BLACK DUCKS (MV).
On 12/3 in Pulaski Township (Amish farms), 1 WILSON'S/COMMON SNIPE, 1
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK, 1 GREEN-WINGED TEAL, HORNED LARKS (MV).
At Edinburg Lake on 12/3, 1 GADWALL, 1 RING-NECKED DUCK, 1 PIED-BILLED
GREBE (MV).
In New Beaver on 12/3, 1 NORTHERN PINTAIL, 1 BUFFLEHEAD, 1 RING-NECKED
DUCK, 3 RUDDY DUCKS, 1 GREEN-WINGED TEAL (all at the Atlantic States
gravel pond) (MV).
Venango County:
On Buttermilk Hill 11/27, NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL, 2-4 HERMIT THRUSHES, 1
FOX SPARROW, 1 FIELD SPARROW; on 12/3, 114 migrating LOONS were seen over
the yard, as well as 170 TUNDRA SWANS (JS).
At Kahle Lake earlier last week, 6 SNOW BUNTINGS, 50 HORNED LARKS, 1 ROUGH-
LEGGED HAWK, 30 BONAPARTE'S GULLS (JS).
In Jackson Township on 11/27, 1 LONG-EARED OWL (NB).
Washington County:
On 12/1 in Coal Center, 1 EASTERN PHOEBE (JT).
