A Willet was seen on Thu 11 Aug by Carol Lambert at the E.L. Huie
facility in Clayton Co., but was not seen on Fri or Sat.

Inland willets are rare and are likely to be interior-breeding birds
of the W subspecies on their way to SE (incl GA) coast for the winter.
E.L. Huie is reached by taking the Exit 235 (Tara Blvd, Hwy 19, for
Jonesboro) from S-bound I-17. After ca. 8.2 miles on 19, turn left on
Freeman Rd, take the 1st left on Dixon Industrial, and then turn left
into the facility after ca. 200 yds.

A large number of shorebirds are present at the Taff Rd pond in
Bartow Co., with 11 spp seen Sat 13 Aug. Most notable were 1
SANDERLING, 2 STILT SANDPIPER, 1 juv SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER, with
SEMIPALMATED PLOVER, KILLDEER, PECTORAL SANDPIPER, LEAST SANDPIPER,
SPOTTED SANDPIPER, SOLITARY SANDPIPER, GREATER YELLOWLEGS, LESSER
YELLOWLEGS also present. [Sanderling and Semi Plover not seen on Sun
14 - SB] This site is also good for DICKCISSEL and GRASSHOPPER
SPARROW.

(possible millions) at the Macon Mall in Macon, Bibb Co. For
