Santa Cruz:

A CRESTED CARACARA was reported again today north of Davenport. The bird
was seen in a field long Highway One just north of Swanton Rd.
Different reporters have the bird at various location in the field,
along the Eucalyptus Grove and feeding on a carcase. [Steve Rovell]

Carmel:

An adult male HOODED WARBLER was banded by the team from BSOL today
along the Carmel River. The bird was in the Cottonwoods on the lower
river where the net lanes come out to the riverbed. [Matt Brady]

Salinas River:

A BLACK/WHITE-WINGED TERN was observed at the Salinas River mouth this
afternoon. 3 LEAST TERN were also at the river mouth. 5 AMERICAN WHITE
PELICAN. 2 BLACK SKIMMER and a LESSER YELLOWLEGS were also present. 12
RED KNOT, 3 WILSON'S PHALAROPE and a BAIRD'S SANDPIPER were over on the
