GOLDEN EAGLE


Saturday, January 14

A GOLDEN EAGLE was seen today near the intersection of Happy Valley
Road and Bennett Road in Metchosin.

An ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER was seen from the Becher Bay
lookout on East Sooke Road in Metchosin.

A TURKEY VULTURE was seen near the intersection of Rocky Point Rd.
and East Sooke Road in Metchosin.

2 HERMIT THRUSHES were seen in East Sooke Park and a RHINOCEROS
AUKLET was seen off East Sooke Park.

A TOWNSEND'S WARBLER was seen in a yard on Central Saanich Road.

A first winter GLAUCOUS GULL and a TUNDRA SWAN were seen
off Sahilton Road, which is just south of Duncan behind the Farmer's
Market.


Thursday, January 12

A male REDHEAD was seen on Elk Lake in Saanich, just west of
the rowing boathouse at the south end.

An ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER was seen along Swan Creek, which is near the
community gardens off the Pat Bay Highway.

A SWAMP SPARROW was seen at Swan Lake in Saanich, near the
lollipop boardwalk.


Monday, January 9

A SNOWY OWL was seen again on the Trial Islands, off Oak Bay.
