This is Dave DeReamus, for the Eastern PA Birdline, sponsored by the Lehigh
Valley Audubon Society, recorded on August 18th at 9:00 PM.
There will be a field trip to the Whitehall Parkway on September 3rd. Meet
at the Tilghman Square Parking lot, near the Red Robin Restaurant, just west
of Route 309 at 7:30 AM. Trip leader will be Ted Fritzinger.

Sightings from JACOBSBURG STATE PARK, Northampton County included:
YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT - 1 on 8/11.
Sightings from the FREEMANSBURG area, Northampton County included:
LITTLE BLUE HERONS - 2 to at least 8/17 (reported along the Lehigh River
east of the Freemansburg parking lot).
Sightings from the MONOCACY NATURE CENTER, Northampton County included:
"LAWRENCE'S" WARBLER - 1 on 8/12 (about halfway between the parking lot and
the Paint Mill Pond).
Sightings from LEHIGH TOWNSHIP, Northampton County included:
BLUE GROSBEAK - 1 on 8/11 (near Petersville).
Sightings from LITTLE GAP, Northampton County included:
Red-shouldered Hawk - 1 on 8/18
Red-breasted Nuthatches - 2 on 8/17.
Sightings from the BELTZVILLE LAKE area, Carbon County included:
Caspian Terns - 6 on 8/17.
Sightings from the WHITEHALL PARKWAY, Lehigh County included:
PHILADELPHIA VIREO - 1 on 8/16.
Sightings from PEACE VALLEY PARK, Bucks County included:
Double-crested Cormorant - up to 30 during this past week
GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLERS - 2 on 8/15.
Sightings from LAKE NOCKAMIXON, Bucks County included:
Bonaparte's Gull - 1 on 8/12 (rare summer record)
Lesser Black-backed Gulls - 4 on 8/12 (unusual summer record)
Great Black-backed Gull - 1 during last week
Ring-billed Gulls - ~20 on 8/12.
