This is the Santa Barbara Audubon Society's rare bird report being recorded
on Friday, August 19 at 11 a.m. If you have a rare bird sighting to report,

Shorebirds continue to arrive, and the following were seen this last week:
At Devereux Slough yesterday there was a juvenile RED KNOT, and about 10
LESSER YELLOWLEGS. A SOLITARY SANDPIPER was seen here on the 15th.
Highlights from the Cachuma Lake boat trips this week included two adult
BALD EAGLES.
At Waller Park in Santa Maria, the CACKLING GOOSE and the ROSS'S GOOSE are
still in the front pond.
