Hudson River at Four Mile Point 3/2: 2 HOODED MERGANSERS, 10-12
COMMON MERGANSERS, and 2 BALD EAGLES (1 adult and 1 juvenile)
Nassau 3/5: BROWN CREEPER
Coxsackie, River Road 3/5: GREAT HORNED OWL and BARRED OWL
Thruway Exit 21B 3/5: TURKEY VULTURE, RED-TAILED HAWK, AMERICAN CROW,
AMERICAN ROBIN, EUROPEAN STARLING, RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD, COMMON
GRACKLE
Mohawk River at Schenectady 3/7: 25 CANADA GEESE, 25 MALLARDS, 50
RING-BILLED GULLS, 20 AMERICAN CROWS, and 2 FISH CROWS
East Greenbush 3/7: A raucous flock of 14 BLUE JAYS enacting some
ritual involving bobbing movements, group flights, and antiphonal
"singing"; also the first 4 BROWN-HEADED COWBIRDS of the season
Western Gateway Bridge, Schenectady/Scotia 3/7: The pair of
RED-TAILED HAWKS nesting on the transmission tower are now sitting on
eggs
