A EURASIAN WIGEON continues at the Woodley Lakes Golf Course in Van Nuys.
The bird is in the pond adjacent to the driving range. Access is just south
of Victory on the west side of Woodley.

In the Ballona channel at Playa del Rey, a LONG-TAILED DUCK was seen on
March 8. From the west end of the 90 Freeway, take Culver west to Pacific
and then go right to the end and park.

An alternate plumaged RED-NECKED GREBE was seen off Point Dume on March 12.
The bird was seen from the parking lot at the bottom of the west side of the
bluff.

An EASTERN PHOEBE was at Eaton Canyon in Pasadena on March 12. The bird was
in the stream channel just north of the New York Drive bridge. The entrance
to Eaton Canyon is on the east side of Altadena Drive above New York Drive.
A WHITE-THROATED SPARROW continues west of the Nature Center at Eaton
Canyon.

The THICK-BILLED KINGBIRD at Banning Park in Wilmington was reported through
March 15. Late morning seems to be the best time to see this bird. The
park is east of the 110 Freeway on the south side of the Pacific Coast
Highway.

A TROPICAL KINGBIRD was in Area 3 of El Dorado Park in Long Beach through
March 15. The bird was foraging in the area south and west of the
northernmost lake in Area 3.

A continuing WINTER WREN was seen again at DeForest Park in Long Beach on
March 11. The bird is in the Nature Trail section of the park. Enter the
Nature Trail at DeForest Ave where it meets Chestnut. The bird was 20 yards
to the right of this entrance in some brushy tangles near a fallen
eucalyptus tree.

The BROWN THRASHER continues at El Dorado Park in Long Beach. It has been
seen along the two-mile trail in the Nature Center section of the park.
Look for it in the vicinity of trail marker #13 and 14. The park entrance
is on Spring Street west of the 605 Freeway.

Continuing BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLERS were reported from Camino Real Park in
Ventura and Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach.

Yet another PAINTED REDSTART has been reported in the county. This one was
at a private residence in Altadena on March 13 and 14.

The PAINTED REDSTART in Monrovia Canyon was reported again on March 9. The
bird has been seen at the Fireman's Flat Picnic Area and around the Nature
Center.

Another PAINTED REDSTART is still present in the Solano Canyon area. From
Academy Road, take Park Drive north and look for the bird in the small
picnic area on the left hand side near the top. Recently the bird has seen
just above the upper playground area. A HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER was along the
west side of the canyon near the playground on March 11.

Two CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS were in the Chipping Sparrow flock at Rynerson
Park in Lakewood on March 9. Rynerson Park is between Studebaker Road and
the San Gabriel River, south of Del Amo.
