> DUCK, NORTHERN SHOVELERS, and BLUE-WINGED TEAL were seen in Biddeford
> and NORTHERN PINTAILS were reported from several areas.

> The female KING EIDER continues to be seen at Pemaquid Point.

> HARLEQUIN DUCKS were at Nubble Light, the Cliff House, and Perkin's

> A RED-THROATED LOON was seen in Biddeford Pool. The pond at the Marie
> Joseph Retreat Center in Biddeford has a male REDHEAD DUCK and the
> Fortunes Rock Ponds have RING-NECK DUCKS, a pair of NORTHERN
> SHOVELERS, 3 HOODED MERGANSERS, 1 GADWALL, COMMON GOLDENEYES, a pair
> of BLUE-WINGED TEAL, and 7 WOOD DUCKS. Two ICELAND GULLS were also
> seen at Fortunes Rock. The pools at Granite Point had 15 GREEN-WINGED
> TEAL. There were several BRANT at East Point Sanctuary in Biddeford.

> Seven WOOD DUCKS were in the Cascade Brook section of Scarborough
> Marsh on March 22.

> One PIED-BILLED GREBE, over 25 GREEN-WINGED TEAL, 3 KILLDEER, up to 7
> SNOW GEESE, 1 SHARP-SHINNED HAWK, 1 NORTHERN HARRIER and a
> RED-SHOULDERED HAWK were in the marsh behind Pelreco.

> A RED-THROATED LOON was off Pine Point Beach in Saco Bay. On March 19,
> an EASTERN PHOEBE was along the Scarborough River mouth at Pine Point.

> On Ash Swamp Road there were 2 BROAD-WINGED HAWKS, WHITE-THROATED
> SPARROWS, and 2 FOX SPARROWS.
>
> A mixed flock of approximately 75 WAXWINGS were feeding on the fruit
> trees of the Rite Aid at Dunstan's Corner, Scarborough, about one
> fifth of them were BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS.

> A SHARP-SHINNED HAWK was seen on Maple Avenue.

> were at Florida Lake in Freeport.

> In Gray there were COMMON REDPOLLS, 1 RED-SHOULDERED HAWK, and 1

> A BOREAL CHICKADEE continues to come to a feeder in Brownfield.

> AMERICAN WIDGEON and KILLDEER were seen at Wharton Point in Maquoit
> Bay.
>
> Twenty-three BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were in a yard on Pinewood Drive,
> Topsham, along with a COOPER'S HAWK.
>
> In Merrymeeting Bay there were 20 NORTHERN PINTAILS, COMMON
> MERGANSERS, 20 GREEN-WINGED TEAL, COMMON GOLDENEYES, 300 AMERICAN
> BLACK DUCKS, and 20 MALLARDS.
>
> Ducks at the mouth of the Abbagadassett River, Bowdoinham, on March 22
> included 2 GADWALL, 200+ AMERICAN BLACK DUCKS, 80+ MALLARDS, 48
> NORTHERN PINTAILS, 90+ GREEN-WINGED TEAL, COMMON GOLDENEYES, and
> COMMON MERGANSERS.

> A ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was seen in Boothbay.

> At Pemaquid Point there were 16 HORNED GREBES, 1 female KING EIDER, 1
> RED-THROATED LOON, and 1 HERMIT THRUSH.

> In Union there were 6 WOOD DUCKS and a NORTHERN PINTAIL.

> At the Weskeag Marsh in South Thomaston there were 6 KILDEER and 1
> NORTHERN HARRIER.

> Two female BARROW'S GOLDENEYES and a PIED-BILLED GREBE were seen near
> the Main Street Bridge in Warren village. Also a female RED-BELLIED
> WOODPECKER was at a feeder on North Pond Road.

> Central Maine
>
> In Richmond there were FOX SPARROW, NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL, and WOOD
> DUCK.
>
> In a field along Eight Rod Road in Augusta, there were 2 EASTERN
> MEADOWLARKS on March 19. A COOPER'S HAWK, COMMON REDPOLLS,
> WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS, and a NORTHERN FLICKER visited a yard on the
> same road.
>
> A PIED-BILLED GREBE was at the outlet to Messalonskee Lake on March
> 19. Also seen were 4 RING-NECKED DUCKS, 4 COMMON GOLDENEYES, about 30
> HOODED MERGANSERS, and 4 RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS.
>
> Ten PINE SISKINS and a RUSTY BLACKBIRD were in Oakland.
>
> In Waterville there were 2 NORTHERN HARRIERS, and another was seen in
> Sidney.
>
> Eight WOOD DUCKS were seen in Newburg.
>
> A KILLDEER was seen along the Penobscot River on March 19 and a SNOW
> GOOSE was in the river on March 18.

> A BALD EAGLE and an immature ICELAND GULL were seen in Bangor. An
> AMERICAN KESTREL was seen near the Bangor Mall.
>
> On March 21, 2 AMERICAN PIPITS were in the University of Maine fields
> alongside Witter Road, Old Town.
>
> In Howland there were 1 COOPER'S HAWK and 1 BALD EAGLE.
>
> Thirty COMMON REDPOLLS were seen in Kingfield.

> Eastern Maine
>
> NORTHERN PINTAILS were in the Union River in Ellsworth on March 21.
>
> A HORNED GREBE was seen off of Seawall, on Mount Desert Island, along
> with lots of other waterfowl on March 17. A SNOWY OWL was seen on
> Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park. The sighting was late
> morning, along the trail that originates from the south near the
> Blackwood's Campground. The actual location was part way to the
> summit, near the place called "The Featherbed." The first TURKEY
> VULTURES and AMERICAN WOODCOCK of the season were seen on Mount Desert
> Island on March 23.
>
> At Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge there were 10 BALD EAGLES, and a
> WHITE-THROATED SPARROW.
>
> Hundreds of ALCIDS were at Old Man Island, which is about a mile from
> the dead end on Dennison Point Road, in Little Machias/Cutler. There
> were many RAZORBILLS and many unidentifiable alcids flying in from the
> east to Old Man Island. A non-breeding COMMON MURRE flew in. Many
> RAZORBILLS were standing on the north facing cliffs of the island.
> More RAZORBILLS were flying around the entire island and loafing on
> the east and west sides of the island in the surf. Birds seen in the
> area include 2 COMMON LOONS, 1 RED-THROATED LOON, 4 GREAT CORMORANTS,
> 8 BLACK GUILLEMOTS, 300 RAZORBILLS, 1 COMMON MURRE, 9 HARLEQUIN DUCKS,
> and 6 RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS.

> In East Machias, by the mouth of the East Machias River/behind
> Riverside B&B there were 18 COMMON GOLDENEYES, a HYBRID HOODED
> MERGANSER/COMMON GOLDENEYE, and 6 COMMON MERGANSERS.

> On the East Machias River along Route 1 heading out of East Machias
> there were 2 GREEN-WINGED TEAL, 1 BARROW'S GOLDENEYE, and 3 HOODED
> MERGANSERS.

> Northern Maine
>
> On March 19, a flock of 50 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were in Lincoln.
>
> A flock of about 50 RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS, and a few COMMON GRACKLES
> were seen congregated in Sherman along Route 158 on March 18.
>
> In Houlton there were AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS, DARK-EYED JUNCOS and a
> singing NORTHERN CARDINAL.
>
> In Woodland there were 30 EVENING GROSBEAKS, 1 BOREAL CHICKADEE, 300
> COMMON REDPOLLS, 1 HOARY REDOLL, and 1 PINE SISKIN.
>
> In Presque Isle and in Mapleton there were COMMON REDPOLLS, 5 possible
> HOARY REDPOLLS, RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS, COMMON GRACKLES, and 2 AMERICAN
> ROBINS.
>
> A BALD EAGLE is sitting on a nest in Fort Fairfield.
>
> In Caribou there were RUFFED GROUSE, RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS, COMMON
> GRACKES, 2 HORNED LARKS, and 1 SONG SPARROW. Also seen in Caribou were
> COMMON MERGANSER and COMMON GOLDENEYE.

> A RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH was seen in Fort Kent.
