A fall-plumage adult male BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER was seen in the west end of
north Glenmore Park in Calgary Friday morning August 19. Seen by Terry
Korolyk, the bird was in a flock of 200 migrating songbirds moving through
the trees between Parking Lots M and L. Others seen there by Terry were
PHILADELPHIA VIREO and TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE.

Also found in the Calgary area recently were BLACK-THROATED GREEN, NASHVILLE
(two) and CANADA WARBLERS (four). The Black-throated Green was photographed
in Inglewood Bird Sanctuary on Sunday August 21. On Thursday August 18 Hank
Vanderpol observed a Nashville at the same location. Lenora and Dick Flynn
and a CFNS group watched a Nashville at Hull's Wood in east Fish Creek
Provincial Park Saturday August 20. Colin Young and Linda Bailey observed a
Canada Warbler at Hull's Wood the morning of August 19 while the Flynns and
CFNS group saw one there on August 20.

The following day Terry Korolyk found two Canada Warblers, one two km north
of Twp Road 270 on Range Road 252 east of Irricana, and the other on Twp
Road 262 just west of the north-south road through Nightingale northeast of
Strathmore. Hank Vanderpol observed two MACGILLIVRAY'S at Inglewood Bird
Sanctuary August 18. Other songbirds reported from IBS by Hank Vanderpol
include three OVENBIRDS, OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER and SWAINSON'S THRUSH.
Additional warblers well represented in the area recently include AMERICAN
