Today at Bolsa Chica preserve, from the wooden bridge (nicely refurbished),
one of the REDDISH EGRETs was in evidence as well as a HORNED GREBE.

RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS continue to be seen in the County, some at Huntington
Central Park today in the fenced garden by the library, and some reported
last weekend from Santiago Oaks Regional Park.

At Santiago Oaks Regional Park last Saturday, the YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER
was refound in the pepper tree near the Boy Scout Project shelter (Cross the
creek, and bear up to the left). Also on the bluff trail where there are
two ponds, a female HOODED MERGANSER was sighted.

A pair of Hooded Mergansers were at the Green River Golf Club last week
(private property....and probably in Riverside County) as well as a male
VERMILION FLYCATCHER.

Last Friday at Huntington Central Park, in willows around the little cement
duck pond by the cafe (east side of park), the continuing CHESTNUT-SIDED
WARBLER was refound.

The CACKLING GOOSE was still being seen at Laguna Niguel Regional Park, at
least as of the 25th.

Finally, a SWAINSON'S HAWK was seen last Friday over the northern Yorba
Linda area.
