The REDDISH EGRET continues to be seen at Bolsa Chica Preserve, usually seen
below Warner. It was last reported this morning.
Last weekend a NORTHERN PARULA was seen both days on the east side of
Huntington Central Park near the "Island" area; it was a female type. On
Sunday a female INDIGO BUNTING was also around the Island area.
At the south end of Bolsa Chica Preserve last weekend, a SEMIPALMATED
SANDPIPER was scoped before the heat shimmers destroyed the viewing
conditions. There is also one and possibily two PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVERS
being seen from the same area off of Seapoint Drive (Harriet Weider Park).
Yesterday around the boardwalk at Bolsa, a BLACK TERN was spotted.
At San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary an adult COMMON TERN was seen this week,
and yesterday a SNOWY PLOVER was also recorded at the Sanctuary.
