Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday March 30. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at
503-233-3976.

On March 26 a BRAMBLING was reported coming to a feeder in Monmouth. To see
the bird turn west off Hwy 99W on Main Street in Monmouth and drive to
Stadium. The address is 620 Main Street. You can check the feeders from the
fence near the boat. A CARACARA was seen March 28 along the north road to
Flores Lake in Curry County. It is not far off Hwy 101. The Lake Meares
TUFTED DUCK may still be in the area, but there is some confusion with a
hybrid duck also on the lake.

Flocks of RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS were reported along the coast during the week
as an apparent movement took place. Quite a few reports of SAYıS PHOEBES
were reported with a group of four at Alton-Baker Park in Eugene and flocks
of up to 10 east of the Cascades. On March 27 VAUXıS SWIFTS were reported
from Portland and Hillsboro.

On March 28 a LARK SPARROW was seen along Boquist Road in Tillamook County.
A SNOWY OWL was seen March 26 two miles north of Condon. A CASPIAN TERN was
at Ochoco Lake near Prineville March 29. One was at Summer Lake the day
before along with an early BARN SWALLOW and LESSER YELLOWLEGS.
