Wigeon, Greater Scaup, Surf Scoter, Long-tailed Duck, Barrow's Goldeneye,
Broad-winged Hawk, Thayer's Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Glaucous Gull, Great
Black-backed Gull, Inca Dover, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Black Phoebe, Winter Wren,
Long-billed Thrasher, Eastern Towhee, Harris's Sparrow, Lapland Longspur,
Northern Cardinal, Rusty Blackbird, and rosy-finches.

Alamosa County:
--Six GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were reported by Simmons at San Luis Lake
on March 24.
--A male EURASIAN WIGEON was reported by Percival at Alamosa National
Wildlife Refuge at the Bluff Overlook on April 1.

Arapahoe County:
--The HARRIS'S SPARROW was still present at the Carson Nature Center in South
Platte Park at least through April 1.
--A GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE was reported by Beltz at Cherry Creek State
Park in the campground on March 26. The goose was seen again on March 28.

Boulder County:
--At Erie Lake the GLAUCOUS GULL was seen again on March 25. Erie Lake is on
the east side of US 287 north of Arapahoe Road.
--A LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was reported by Sanders at Baseline Reservoir on
March 5. It was seen again on March 13. Larson also reported an adult
THAYER'S GULL at Baseline on March 13. Both gulls were seen again on March 25.
--A LONG-TAILED DUCK was reported by Smith on March 24 at Ish Reservoir. A
GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE was reported by Hopper at Ish on March 25. Ish is
east of US 287 just south of the Larimer County line.
--At Cottonwood Marsh Floyd reported an adult LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL and
GREATER SCAUP on March 27.
--A GLAUCOUS GULL was reported by Harlan at Prince Lake # 2 on March 27. The
gull was seen again on April 2. Prince Lake #2 is on 111th St a few blocks
north of Arapahoe Road.
--All three species of ROSY-FINCHES are still being seen at Fawn Brook Inn in
Allenspark. All three species were see on March 31.

Denver County:
--A LONG-BILLED THRASHER has been visiting a yard at 2332 S. Emerson near
Harvard Gulch Park. The bird was reported by Anderson on February 20 and
confirmed by Spencer on February 21. The bird was seen again on April 1.
--A female GREATER SCAUP was reported by Jones at Fort Logan National
Cemetery on March 29. The scaup was seen again on March 31.

Eagle County:
--Six BARROW'S GOLDENEYE were reported by Filby at Blue Lake in El Jebel on
March 8. On March 25 eighteen goldeneyes were seen.

El Paso County:
--A BLACK PHOEBE was first reported on March 12 at Fountain Creek Regional
Park. It was seen again on March 25 by Pals in Area 2 south of the Willow
Springs Ponds Parking Lot. The phoebe was again seen on March 29.
--A BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was reported by Holzmann at Big Johnson Reservoir on
March 25.
--A LONG-BILLED THRASHER, initially found by Percival on January 14, was seen
as recently as March 27 on a private ranch. If you want to look for it,
contact Tony Leukering by e-mail (greatgrayowlATaol.com) for details and
directions. An EASTERN TOWHEE is present at the same location and was seen again on
March 27.

Gunnison County:
--Rosy-finches are coming to feeders in the yard of Linda Powers at 324
Whiterock (Corner of 4th) in Crested Butte. They were still being seen as of April
l. Most are Brown-capped, a few Gray-crowned, and several Hepburn.

Jefferson County:
--A BROAD-WINGED HAWK was reported by Andrew Spencer at the Dinosaur Ridge
Hawk Watch on March 28.

Larimer County:
--At Rist Benson Wild reported one GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL on March 14. At
Rist Benson Komar reported an adult THAYER'S GULL in addition to the GREAT
BLACK-BACKED GULL on March 19. Both gulls were seen on March 25.
--At Donath Lake one LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was reported by Griffin on
March 16. The gull was seen again on March 24.
--At the Environmental Learning Center east of Fort Collins, a WINTER WREN
was reported by Leukering on March 23. The wren was seen again on March 26.
--At Timnath Reservoir east of Timnath, Kehoe reported a BLACK BRANT and two
GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE on March 25. The BRANT is probably the one that
has been in the Fort Collins area this winter.
--At North Poudre #3 Hopper reported at least twenty GREATER SCAUP on March
31. North Poudre #3 is northwest of Wellington about one mile south of CR 70
and CR 11.

Logan County:
--At Tamarack Ranch SWA, CARDINALS and RED-BELLIED WOODPECKERS were reported
by Larson on April 2.

Otero County:
--Two pair of INCA DOVES were reported by Maynard in Rocky Ford on April 1.

Pueblo County:
--At Chico Basin Ranch in the Pueblo section, two RUSTY BLACKBIRDS which were
first reported on March 12 by Percival were still present on March 27.
--A female SURF SCOTER was seen again at Pueblo Reservoir on April 2. It was
first found in early December.
--A CURVE-BILLED THRASHER was reported by Percival in Pueblo West on April 2.

Sedgwick County:
--Two LAPLAND LONGSPURS were reported by Larson southeast of Julesburg on
April 2.
--About 150 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were reported by Larson on a small
pond on CR 5 and Hwy 138 on April 2.
