This is the Los Angeles Rare Bird Alert for Thursday, April 6. Please
report sightings to

A female and an immature male LONG-TAILED DUCK were in the Marina del Rey
channel on April 1. Take Culver west to Pacific and go to the end to park
and access the channel.

An adult LITTLE BLUE HERON in Marina del Rey was reported through April 1.
The bird has been seen along the canal near the intersection of Pacific and
Voyage on the north side of Ballona Creek.

A FRANKLIN'S GULL was along Ballona Creek at McConnell Avenue near Playa del
Rey on April 1. From Culver, take McConnell south to the end to get to the
creek channel. Walk west and under the 90 Freeway bridge to get to the spot
the bird was seen.

The THICK-BILLED KINGBIRD at Banning Park in Wilmington was reported through
April 1. Banning Park is east of the Harbor Freeway on the south side of
the Pacific Coast Highway.
