This is the birding hotline report of the Madison Audubon Society for
Wednesday August 24th.

Shorebirds have been showing up in small numbers at both 9 Springs Natural
Area and at the County V ponds between Schumacher and Patton Roads in
northern Dane County. In the past week both AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVERS and
BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS have been found at the County V ponds.

A variety of warblers was found at the Pheasant Branch Conservancy
yesterday, August 23rd. A few warblers were also found at Viking Park in
Stoughton along with a SWAINSON’S THRUSH, a BROWN CREEPER, and a
YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER.
