27 April 2006 at 06:00 a.m.

Highlights: SNOW GOOSE, BLACK SKIMMER, HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER,
DUSKY FLYCATCHER, RED-THROATED PIPIT, BLACK-THROATED SPARROW.

San Mateo Co.

On Apr 26, a RED-THROATED PIPIT was seen in Half Moon Bay. The bird
was in the short grass near the coastal trail, between Granelli and
Central Ave. Go to either of these streets and take the foot path
towards the wood fence bordering the coastal trail, stop roughly
60 feet before you reach the fence. The bird was refound later, but
flew off high to the north and would NOT be re-loctaed at this spot.

On Apr 25, a HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER was at various places around the
meadow, which is west of the Coyote Point Museum. Later,a
DUSKY FLYCATCHER was seen in the fennel and red gum eucalyptus, around
the multiplex theater off of Whipple Road in Redwood City. This east of
Hwy 101 , near Bair Island. (Al DeMartini)

On Apr 24, two pairs of BLACK SKIMMERS were seen over the salt flats,
north of the last parking lot at Bayfront park in Menlo Park.

On Apr 24, a blue morph SNOW GOOSE was seen in the Petaluma Pumpkin
Patch, which is between Hwy 1 and Stony Point Road. (At the bottom
of the Cotati Grade. (Tara Clovis)

Merced Co.

On Apr 26, a BLACK-THROATED SPARROW was seen on the grassy knoll,
just north of the swimming /beach area at the day-use arae at
O'Neill Forebay. (Scott Terrill)
