Highlights: BRANT, BALD EAGLE, BLACK TERN, RED-NECKED PHALAROPE,
GRAY FLYCATCHER, HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER, DUSKY FLYCATCHER,
LESSER NIGHTHAWK, YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO, LUCY'S WARBLER,
LAWRENCE'S GOLDFINCH, BLUE GROSBEAK.

Marin Co.
---------
On Apr 29, a BRANT was seen on Richardson Bay. (David Lukas)

Merced Co.
----------
On Apr 27, a GRAY FLYCATCHER was seen in the piney area above the boat
launch at the San Luis Creek area at O'Neill Forebay. Also
(2) LAWRENCE'S GOLDFINCH were seen. A WHIMBREL was seen at the Gustine
Sewage Ponds. A HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER was along the Meadowlark Trail
of the Merced NWR. LESSER NIGHTHAWKS were heard along Sandy Mush Road,
near the correctional facility. On Apr 28, at the Mariposa and
Merced county line, a LEWIS'S WOODPECKER was seen flying over the county
line. Another LEWIS'S WOODPECKER was seen between Merced Falls and
Snelling. NASHVILLE WARBLER, TOWNSEND"S WARBLER, WILSON'S WARBLER and
YELLOW WARBLER were seen at Henderson Park in Snelling.
At Yosemite Lake near Merced, a DUSKY FLYCATCHER was seen in the
eucalyptus trees. A CHIPPING SPARROW was also found. (Al DeMartini)

San Benito Co.

On Apr 28, at Paicines Reservoir, a COMMON LOON, (2) BALD EAGLES and
an OSPREY were seen. And a BANK SWALLOW was seen over San Benito River
at the Industrial Ponds near Hollister. (Al DeMartini)

Alameda Co.

On Apr 30, a pair of WESTERN TANAGERS, BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK and all
expected warblers for this area except yellow were seen at MP 5.90
along Patterson pass Road. AT MP 6.21, two pairs of BLUE GROSBEAKS
were seen. And at 6.97 MP, a singing male BLUE GROSBEAK, many warblers
including (5) NASHVILLE WARBLER, ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER and
WARBLING VIREO were seen. (Rich Cimino)

On Apr 18, a YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO was seen flying SE from Gilman
and Hwy 80. A RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD was seen at the Albany Bulb.

Santa Clara Co.

On Apr 30, LEWIS'S WOODPECKER was seen along San Antonio Road, from the
junction to the bend in the road to Mt Hamilton. A BLACK TERN was seen
at the lake at Grant Ranch. (2) RED-NECKED PHALAROPES were seen
at State and Speckles in Alviso. (Bob Hirt)

San Mateo Co.

On Apr 30, a LUCY'S WARBLER was seen in the eucalyptus trees up on the
meadow of the west side of the Coyote Point Museum. (Ron Thorn)
