Note: that in the next few weeks I anticipate I will be moving from one
house to another in Dana Point. During that time there may be an
interruption in the phone RBA line. I'm hoping that I will be able to keep
the current number of the RBA in the new place.

Migrants continue to come through the area, and some unusual birds remained
in the county.

Last Saturday at the UCI Arboretum, looking into the marsh on a dead willow,
a male LEWIS WOODPECKER was sighted.

Last Friday/Saturday during one of Orange County's Birdathon teams, two
PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVERS were at the Seal Beach NWS, and the REDDISH EGRET
continued at Bolsa Chica Preserve. Two NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWLS were detected
in Silverado Canyon.

Last Saturday the continuing male AMERICAN REDSTART was refound along the
bike trail by the Santa Ana River near the Orange-Olive crossing.
