Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

A BRISTLE-THIGHED CURLEW was seen May 22 on Clatsop Beach. It did not
remain. A possible YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO was reported May 23 near Lake
Oswego. A GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE was on the North Spit of Coos Bay May 17.
Male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKS were seen during the week at Coos Bay, Port
Orford, and at Page Springs Campground. On May 19 a GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE and
an INDIGO BUNTING were at the denman Ponds north of White City.
Malheur NWR was very active during the week with a male NORTHERN PARULA, a
BALTIMORE ORIOLE, six SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS, and a pair of GREAT-TAILED
GRACKLES reported.
On May 19 a SAGE THRASHER was in Bandon. That day a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW
was at Jerrys Flats near Gold Beach. The May 21 offshore boat trip out of
Coos Bay found over 500 BLACK-FOOTED ALBATROSSES and a LAYSAN ALBATROSS. On
May 23 a RUDDY TURNSTONE and a LAPLAND LONGSPUR were on Clatsop Beach.
Two WHITE PELICANS continue to be seen at Steigerwald NWR near Washougal. On
May 24 a pair of REDHEADS, a BONAPARTEšS GULL, and three FORSTERšS TERNS
were at the Vanport Wetlands in North Portland. A male and a female LAZULI
BUNTING are now being seen at Mt. Tabor Park in Portland. A BLACK SWIFT was
seen May 20 at the Killin Wetlands near Banks.
On May 18 there were two reports of early NIGHTHAWKS in Morrow County. A
late SNOWY OWL is now being seen north of Pendleton near Umapine.
