Black-backed Gull, Sabine's Gull, Least Tern, Black Phoebe, Eastern Phoebe,
Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, Wood Thrush, Prairie Warbler, and Black-throated
Sparrow

Arapahoe County:
--A GREEN HERON is been seen regularly at a Townhouse Complex in Littleton.
If you would like to try to see it contact Deb Carstensen at 303-797-9312.

Bent County:
--A SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was reported by Nelson on the west side of Las
Animas on June 5.

Boulder County:
--A BLACK-THROATED SPARROW was reported by Zorawowicz about 0.7 mile south of
Marshall Road on S. 66th Street on June 1.

Custer County:
--A PRAIRIE WARBLER was reported by Nelson 100 feet west of the CR 389 on Hwy
96 on the south side of the road on June 1.
--A LEAST TERN was reported by Miller at DeWeese Reservoir on June 8. DeWeese
is five miles north of Westcliffe.

El Paso County:
--A basic-plumaged SABINE'S GULL was reported by Peterson at Big Johnson on
May 24 and was refound on May 31. On May 30, Leukering reported one
first-cycle LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL and a pair of GREATER SCAUP at Big Johnson. On
May
30, Steger reported a LEAST TERN at Big Johnson, which was refound on May 31.
The LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL and LEAST TERN were refound on June 1.

Gunnison County:
--BLACK PHOEBES were reported by Schrott in McCabe's wetland next to the
Gunnison water treatment plant on June 4.

Otero County:
--Seven SNOWY PLOVERS were reported by Moss at Lake Cheraw on June 2. SNOWY
PLOVERS with young were reported by Trinker at Lake Cheraw on June 3 and 4.
--EASTERN PHOEBES were reported by Trinker in Vogel Canyon on June 3 and 4.

Weld County:
--A WOOD THRUSH was found by Leatherman on June 2 at Crow Valley Campground
along with a VEERY. The area is west of the group picnic shelter. The thrush
was refound on June 3.

The field trip for Saturday, June 10, is to Quincy Reservoir led by Mary Ann
Bonnell. Meet the leader at 0830 at Quincy Reservoir parking area which is on
Quincy Ave east of Buckley Road. There is a $5 individual reservoir pass.

The field trip for Sunday, June 11, is to Chatfield State Park led by Glenn
Walbek. Meet the leader at 0730 at the swim beach parking lot. Half-day trip;
lunch optional. State parks pass required.

Inexplicably, the adult male HOODED ORIOLE, of which there are wonderful
photos and would represent a first state record if accepted by the state records
committee, that came to an oriole feeder at a residence in Grand Junction one
day only, 27 May, has been left off of the RBA.
