This is a Rare Bird Alert for Southwestern Ohio (Dayton) for
Friday, June 9, 2006, sponsored by The Dayton Audubon
Society.

On June 9, a late DARK-EYED JUNCO was seen at Hills and Dales
MetroPark.

On June 9, an albino ROBIN was seen near Old Springfield Rd. and
Peter's Pike.

On June 9, a SCARLET TANAGER was seen at Englewood MetroPark.

At C.J. Brown Park on the Sparrow Loop on May 29, observed were
SAVANNAH and VESPER SPARROWS, HORNED LARK, BOBOLINK, EASTERN
MEADOWLARK, and NORTHERN BOBWHITE.

At Englewood MetroPark, YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT, EASTERN BLUEBIRD, and
FIELD and SONG SPARROWS continue to be seen.

Reports from around the area, including Spring Valley Wild Life Area,
indicate numbers of CEDAR WAXWINGS are being seen.
