RED CROSSBILL, seasonal and local reports of interest and announcements.

A WHITE-FACED IBIS was still present at the ponds at Crest Haven,
just north of Cape May Jun 26. Seawatching continues to be
productive off Cape May Point. Call the CMBO Hotline for details.
A BLACK TERN and 2 FORSTER'S TERNS were found at Merrill Creek
Reservoir Jun 24.
Rare inland, a COMMON TERN was noted at Spruce Run Reservoir Jun 26.
A FORSTER'S TERN appeared there Jun 28 along with a southbound
GREATER YELLOWLEGS.
An immature RED CROSSBILL was discovered at a West Long Branch
residence Jun 26.
A PROTHONOTARY WARBLER was seen at Glassboro Woods Jun 25.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
A late summer pelagic trip is scheduled for Aug 20 out of Belmar in
search of Audubon's Shearwater, White-faced Storm-Petrel, Long-tailed
Jaeger, and other warm-water species. Another trip visiting New
Jersey waters is scheduled from Freeport, Long Island Sep 10, looking
for the same species. For more information about both of these trips
