ALLEGHENY COUNTY:

At Schenley Park on 6/25, sightings included nesting Red-eyed Vireo, Yellow
Warblers, Wood Thrush, NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW (KSJ).

In a Pittsburgh backyard on 6/25, Eastern Screech Owl (KSJ).

On 6/25 in Stowe Township, an active BANK SWALLOW colony was discovered (MV).

In Coraopolis on 6/25, COMMON NIGHTHAWK (MV).

At Morgan Park near Bridgeville on 6/25, a probable SCISSOR-TAILED
FLYCATCHER was seen passing through (GM).

On 6/26 a COMMON RAVEN was seen flying over West Carson Street in McKees
Rocks (SV).

At the Imperial grasslands on 6/27, 1 LESSER YELLOWLEGS, 2 Least Sandpipers;
on 7/2, 1 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, Brown Thrashers (MV).

On 6/29 at North Park, a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was located at the Gold
Star parking lot (reported to MV); it was also seen the morning of 6/30 (MV).


BEAVER COUNTY:

On 6/29 at Little Blue Lake, sightings included a group of 78 Mallards, 11
Wood Ducks; also YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT, Orchard Oriole, Eastern Kingbird,
White-eyed Vireo, BANK SWALLOW (MV).


CLARION COUNTY:

Through 6/27 along the Armstrong Trail near East Brady on the Allegheny
River, 1 LAWRENCE'S WARBLER continues its presence; on 6/24 a female
BLUE-WINGED WARBLER was seen in the same location (CW).

At the Curllsville Strips on 7/2, female NORTHERN HARRIER, Turkey Vultures,
GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS, BOBOLINKS with young, 3 singing CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS,
YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT, HENSLOW'S SPARROWS, PRAIRIE WARBLERS, Eastern
Kingbirds (CW).


CRAWFORD COUNTY:

On 6/30 at Custard's, 1 adult and 1 juvenile LEAST BITTERN, Wood Ducks (BV).


LAWRENCE COUNTY:

On 7/1 at the Volant Strips, sightings included 1 SHORT-EARED OWL, 1 male
NORTHERN HARRIER, BOBOLINKS, GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS, HENSLOW'S SPARROWS,
SAVANNAH SPARROWS, flyover OSPREY (MV).

At the Pulaski Township Amish Farms area on 7/1, RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS,
PURPLE MARTINS (MV).


SOMERSET COUNTY:

On 7/1 near Wellersburg, Yellow-throated Warbler, LEAST FLYCATCHER, VESPER
SPARROWS, HENSLOW'S SPARROWS, SAVANNAH SPARROWS (DS).

On 7/1 along Carter Hill Road out of Glencoe, highlights included NORTHERN
PARULAS, WORM-EATING WARBLER, Acadian Flycatcher, Black-and-White Warbler,
HERMIT THRUSHES, CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER, KENTUCKY WARBLER, Rose-breasted
Grosbeak, Eastern Meadowlarks, Black-throated Green Warbler, YELLOW-THROATED
VIREO, BLUE-HEADED VIREO, Ring-necked Pheasant (DS).

Along Miller Road in southeastern Somerset Co. on 7/1, highlights were
BROAD-WINGED HAWK, BLUE-HEADED VIREO, MAGNOLIA WARBLERS, Black-throated
Green Warblers, NORTHERN PARULA; along Shaffer Run Road on 7/1, Acadian
Flycatcher, MAGNOLIA WARBLER, Black-throated Green Warbler, NORTHERN PARULA;
along Comps Road out of Fairhope on 7/1, BLUE-HEADED VIREOS, WINTER WREN,
Black-throated Green Warblers, Rose-breasted Grosbeak; along Comps Church
Road on 7/1, BOBOLINKS, GRASSHOPPER SPARROW, Eastern Meadowlark (DS).


WASHINGTON COUNTY:

On 6/26 at Canonsburg Lake, the hybrid Great Blue Heron was present (MV).

On 6/26 at the Hahn Road AMD pond, American Coot (MV).


WESTMORELAND COUNTY:

On 6/26, 3 BLUE-WINGED WARBLERS singing along Loyalhanna Creek; others have
been heard around the Loyalhanna area this week (SM).

On 6/30 at Roaring Run Natural Area, Forbes State Forest, WORM-EATING
WARBLER (LH).

Near Donegal Lake on 7/1, a pair of GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLERS were seen (LH).
