Highlights: TRUMPETER SWAN, HORNED PUFFIN, AMERICAN REDSTART,
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK, ORANGE BISHOP.

Modoc Co.
---------
On Jun 29, a singing AMERICAN REDSTART in a tall cottonwood at the
McCloud Ranch which is at the corner of Goose Lake, 1/4 to 1/2 mile
from the Oregon border. From Hwy 395, go left towards Goose Lake, take
the 2nd most northern left before the Oregon border. (Ryan Terrill)

Alameda Co.

On Jul 1, a male ORANGE BISHOP was found pass the construction
zone on the left (south side of road) of Kitty Hawk Road, south of
Livermore Airport. It was sitting on the Barbed Wired fencing boarding
the freshly cut hay field. It sat for some time , then flew off south

Mono Co.

On Jun 29, a BLACK-THROATED SPARROW was in the parking area to
Rattlesnake Gulch, north of Lee Vining but before the Conway Submit,
east of Hwy 395. On Jun 28, a pair of GREAT-TAILED GRACKLES were
at Lee Vining and 3rd Street in Lee Vining. A TRUMPETER SWAN was
at Little Alkali Lake off of Benton Crossing Road, 4 miles east of

Mendocino Co.

On Jul 3, an adult HORNED PUFFIN was at Laguna Point in
MacKerricher State Park. Best viewing is by parking at Lake Cleone
(in the park) and walking across the road and up on the dunes/walking
trail proceeding right (north). The bird has been hanging around the
group of exposed wrack-covered rocks that forms the northern "rim" of
the cove. (Steve Abbott)

San Francisco Co.

On Jul 2, a ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was seen from the rocky outcropping
at the end of the trail in Glen Canyon Park in San Francisco.
