-----------
On Jul 7, a count of Brown Pelicans using the breakwater in Alameda

This breakwater is west of the USS Hornet Museum and south of the land
portion of the proposed Alameda National Wildlife Refuge. The breakwater
would be included in the refuge. The previous high count was a little
over 3000 after many years of counting. (John Luther, Leora Feeney)
