Fulton & Montgomery counties - Mon 7/3:
Including Yatesville State Forest (30 mile loop)
27 species including TURKEY VULTURE, NORTHERN HARRIER, AMERICAN
KESTREL feeding young, RED-TAILED HAWK, KILLDEER, EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE,
EASTERN KINGBIRD, EASTERN BLUEBIRD, WOOD THRUSH, CEDAR WAXWING,
BLACK-and-WHITE WARBLER, AMERICAN REDSTART, and a pair of EASTERN
MEADOWLARKS.
Schodack Island SP - Thu 7/6:
40 species heard or seen, including RUFFED GROUSE, YELLOW-BILLED
CUCKOO, RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER, NORTHERN FLICKER, YELLOW-THROATED
VIREO, WARBLING VIREO, RED-EYED VIREO, FISH CROW, numerous VEERY, WOOD
THRUSH, BLUE-WINGED WARBLER, YELLOW WARBLER, CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER,
CERULEAN WARBLER, AMERICAN REDSTART, OVENBIRD, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT,
EASTERN TOWHEE, and several ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKS. (Thursday group)
