A PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER in alternate plumage was on the Los Angeles River in
Long Beach on July 8. The bird was south of the 405 freeway crossing.
Parking can be found at 34th Street and DeForest Avenue just south of
Wardlow Road. Walk north from here on the bike path toward the 405 Freeway.
The bird was still present as of July 10.
