Andy Baldelli just called with a report of a 1 year old ARCTIC TERN along with a
SANDWICH TERN on the flats at Cupsogue County Park in Westhampton Dunes. To reach
the park, take Dune Road west from the Westhampton Bridge to its terminus at the
park. Park along the north side of the parking lot about two-thirds of the way to
the end and walk north into the salt marsh along a well-beaten path. You may have to
wade through substantial mud and water to get close to the birds. Prepare to get
wet. At high tide the flats are covered. A scope is essential.

Good Birding to All!
