Brown Thrasher, 1 Yellow Warbler, 3 singing Common Yellowthroats, 200-300
Red-winged Blackbirds, singing Indigo Buntings, 1 singing GRASSHOPPER
SPARROW (MF). On 7/22 in Fox Chapel, 1 PECTORAL SANDPIPER, 1 Eastern
Kingbird, 2 WILLOW FLYCATCHERS (DY).

In Fox Chapel on 7/23, 2 Least Sandpipers (DY).

At Bald Knob on 7/23, 1 CLIFF SWALLOW (DY). On 7/27 at the Imperial
Grasslands, 1 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, 1 LESSER YELLOWLEGS, 2 Least Sandpipers, 3
Solitary Sandpipers, 2 Green Herons, 10 American Kestrels (MV). On 7/29 a
BLUE GROSBEAK was reported at the Imperial grasslands (reported to MV); it
was not re-found on 7/30 (GM). Highlights on the afternoon of 7/30 included
1 SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER, 1 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, 2 LESSER YELLOWLEGS, 1
PECTORAL SANDPIPER, 3 Least Sandpipers, 2 Solitary Sandpipers, 1 Spotted
Sandpiper (MV).

On 7/27 along the bike trail near Dravo Cemetery, Red-eyed Vireo, singing
CERULEAN WARBLERS, singing Yellow-throated Warbler, Baltimore Oriole, Common
Yellowthroat, Acadian Flycatchers, Wood Thrush, and others (AT).

At Dashield's Dam on 7/30, 4 Double-crested Cormorants (MV).


BEAVER COUNTY:

At Little Blue Lake on 7/25, sightings included 1 SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER,
GREATER YELLOWLEGS, LESSER YELLOWLEGS, PECTORAL SANDPIPER, Least Sandpiper,
Semipalmated Sandpiper, Spotted Sandpiper, Solitary Sandpiper, Louisiana
Waterthrush (MV). On 7/28, highlights were 2 STILT SANDPIPERS, 3
SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS, 25 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS, 12 Solitary Sandpipers, 7
Semipalmated Plovers (MV et al.).

In downtown Aliquippa on 7/25, 2 Common Nighthawks (MV).


BUTLER COUNTY:

Through 7/29 at an unspecified location, 1 EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE continues
at a backyard feeder; on 7/30, 1 juvenile BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO (MB).


CLARION COUNTY:

In Sligo through 7/24, singing RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH (CW).


CRAWFORD COUNTY:

At Miller's Ponds in Pymatuning on 7/27, 1 juvenile LITTLE BLUE HERON,
GREATER YELLOWLEGS, LESSER YELLOWLEGS, 3 WILSON'S SNIPE, SHORT-BILLED
DOWITCHER, Semipalmated Plover, Semipalmated Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper,
PECTORAL SANDPIPER, 1 WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER, Spotted Sandpiper, Solitary
Sandpiper, and others (reported to MV by Dave Wilton, Wes Fritz). On 7/29,
highlights were 5 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, 2 LESSER YELLOWLEGS, 2 SHORT-BILLED
DOWITCHERS, 2 WILSON'S SNIPE, 5 Least Sandpipers, 1 Semipalmated Sandpiper,
1 WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER, 2 Solitary Sandpipers, 1 UPLAND SANDPIPER, 1
Spotted Sandpiper, 1 Semipalmated Plover, 1 GREEN-WINGED TEAL, 1 Amerian
Black Duck (MV).

At the Spillway on 7/29, 1 OSPREY (MV).

At the Fish Hatchery on 7/29, several BALD EAGLES and Hooded Mergansers were
seen (MV).

On 7/29 at the Espyville Marina and causeway, many Ring-billed Gulls were
seen including several juveniles (MV).


FAYETTE COUNTY:

From last week: on 7/16 along Jacob's Creek, WORM-EATING WARBLER, Louisiana
Waterthrushes (MB). On 7/22 near Markleysburg, NORTHERN PARULAS, Hooded
Warbler (MB).


FOREST COUNTY:

Near East Hickory on 7/26, singing CLAY-COLORED SPARROW, Ruffed Grouse,
Broad-winged Hawk (FM).

Near West Hickory on 7/26, WINTER WREN, HERMIT THRUSH, Wood Thrush, MAGNOLIA
WARBLER, BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER, BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER, CERULEAN
WARBLER, Hooded Warbler (FM).


INDIANA COUNTY:

In Clarksburg on 7/29, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, PURPLE FINCHES with young,
and others (MC).


LAWRENCE COUNTY:

At an unspecified location through 7/29, a leucistic juvenile Barn Swallow
has been observed with other Barn Swallows (MB).


SOMERSET COUNTY:

On 7/29 in Laurel Ridge State Park, on the North Woods Trail, 1 juvenile
PINE WARBLER (LH).


WARREN COUNTY:

On 7/26 near Enterprise, sightings included Red-shouldered Hawk,
Broad-winged Hawk, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, several Acadian Flycatchers,
BLUE-HEADED VIREO, HERMIT THRUSH, Wood Thrush, MAGNOLIA WARBLER,
BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER, BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER, Hooded Warbler (FM).


WASHINGTON COUNTY:

From last week: on 7/21 on Beagle Club Road, 2 singing HENSLOW'S SPARROWS, 1
WILLOW FLYCATCHER (MF). On 7/21 on Donaldson Road, 3 HENSLOW'S SPARROWS, 2
GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS, 1 WILLOW FLYCATCHER, 1 Eastern Meadowlark (MF).

On 7/24 at Canonsburg Lake, 4 Solitary Sandpipers, 1 Spotted Sandpiper,
Great Blue Heron hybrid, 6 Great Blue Herons, 2 Green Herons, 2 Broad-winged
Hawks, and others (MV).

On 7/24 at the Hahn Road AMD pond, 1 American Coot (MV).

In Clover Hill in West Pike Run Township on 7/27 and 7/28, 2 singing WILLOW
FLYCATCHERS (AT).

Through 7/30 in Coal Center, singing Eastern Wood-Pewee (AT).


WESTMORELAND COUNTY:

From last week: At Donegal Lake on 7/14, 2 singing SWAMP SPARROWS, WARBLING
VIREO, Yellow Warbler, Barn Swallow, 2 adult OSPREY in nest, and others
(TV). On 7/16 at Keystone State Park, 2 singing SWAMP SPARROWS, 3 Green
Herons (TV). At Loyalhanna Lake on 7/20, sightings included 1 Double-crested
Cormorant, 50+ NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS, Barn Swallow, 5 OSPREY, Gray
Catbird, Indigo Bunting, 2 Green Herons, 15+ Wood Ducks, Eastern Wood-Pewee,
Red-winged Blackbird, Red-eyed Vireo, White-eyed Vireo, Scarlet Tanager,
YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO, BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO, Common Yellowthroat, Yellow
Warbler, Wood Thrush, Eastern Kingbird, and others (TV). In downtown Latrobe
on 7/22, 3 Common Nighthawks (TV).

At 6th ward in Latrobe on 7/23, 1 Broad-winged Hawk, Turkey Vulture (TV).

On 7/26 on upper Camp Run Road, a pair of HERMIT THRUSHES calling, Eastern
Phoebe, YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO nesting, Black-and-White Warbler, NASHVILLE
WARBLER, House Wren, Hooded Warbler, Ruffed Grouse, American Redstart (LH).
