Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday August 3. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On July 28 two LONG-BILLED MURRELETS were seen four miles west of Brookings.
The summering YELLOW-BILLED LOON continues to be seen at Yaquina Bay. It is
being seen in the Sallys Bend area of the bay.
Noticeable migrants during the week included GREAT EGRETS, SOLITARY and
BAIRDıS SANDPIPERS, and RED-NECKED PHALAROPES.
On July 28 a group of five juvenile SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS were seen on the
North Spit of Coos Bay. On August 2 three WILLETS, a MARBLED GODWIT, and a
BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER were on Clatsop Beach.
On July 28 an immature RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was near the Redmond Sewage
Ponds. A SCRUB-JAY was seen near Carver August 2 feeding a fledgling.
