SWALLOW-TAILED and MISSISSIPPI KITES have been reported from a number
of locations round the state, typically feeding on insects over
recently mown hay fields. A particularly good location is in Oconee
Co on Delorme p28, A3. Go E from Hwy 431 in Bishop (A2) on Astondale
Rd. Up to 30-40 Mississippi Kite and 2 Swallow-tailed Kites have been
seen arond the intersections with Colham Ferry and Old Farmington Rds.

Candice Lowther reports a REDDISH EGRET from Savannah airport ponds,
Chatham Co, an atypical location for this species, which is usually
on beaches, on Aug 2.

Fall migrant numbers are increasing at Kennesaw Mtn in Cobb Co. Giff
Beaton reports 7 species of Warbler on Aug 2 including 3 CERULEAN
WARBLERS.
A TRICOLORED HERON (unusual in the Piedmont) was reported again from
Lake Horton (Fayette County, $10 fee for non-Fayette Co residents)
Jul 27, along with White Ibis and Little Blue Herons, by Dan and Mary
Gimcoe.
Liz Horsey reports a YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO from an unusually urban
Atlanta location on July 31.
