Sonoma Co.
----------
On Aug 15, (100) CATTLE EGRETS were in a field off of Pepper Road, as
you leave Bodega Highway. A SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER just beyond the
kiosk at Doran Beach, across from the "10 Minutes Parking" area. And
at Shollenberger Park in Petaluma, a LESSER YELLOWLEG was found.

Pelagic Trip- BODEGA CANYON & CORDELL BANK

On Aug 15, a pelagic trip from Bodega Harbor had the following
highlights: (3) LAYSAN ALBATROSS, (75) BLACK-FOOTED ALBATROSS,
(20) NORTHERN FULMAR, (1200) PINK-FOOTED SHEARWATER,
(1) FLESH-FOOTED SHEARWATER, (95) BULLER'S SHEARWATER,
(121,000) SOOTY SHEARWATER, (1) SHORT-TAILED SHEARWATER,
(1) WILSON'S STORM-PETREL, (300) ASHY STORM-PETREL, 3 species of Jaegers,
(120) SABINE'S GULL, (2) COMMON TERN, (2) ARCTIC TERN,
(600) COMMON MURRE, (150) PIGEON GUILLEMOT, (3) CASSIN'S AUKLET,
(30) RHINOCEROS AUKLET, and (1) TUFTED PUFFIN. (Debbie Shearwater)

Alameda Co.

On Aug 17, a WANDERING TATLER was on the breakwater and rocks
surrounding the Seaplane Lagoon in the city of Alameda. Take Webster
Street from Oakland, go through the "Tube" to Alameda, turn right at the
1st "stop" light, which is Atlantic Avenue, go to the end of Atlantic
Ave and ahead of you will be Seaplane Lagoon to your left. (John Luther)

Mendocino Co.

On Aug 16, the BAR-TAILED GODWIT continues at Virgin Creek Beach in
MacKerricher State Park. The bird is usually in the company of a Marbled
Godwit. They were seen between 445pm and 545pm. One time, they moved
north up the beach but did return to the creek. Also (2) PACIFIC GOLDEN
PLOVERS were seen a little north of the creek. (Dorothy Tobkin)
