San Francisco Co.

On Aug 27, a juvenile BAIRD'S SANDPIPER was at Candlestick Cove, near
Monster Park. Park at the first picnic area on the right and walked

On Aug 27, a 1st year female NORTHERN PARULA was in the very tops
of the eucalyptus trees at the southwest end of Middle Lake in
Golden Gate Park. (Dan Murphy)

San Mateo Co.

On Aug 27, a SOLITARY SANDPIPER was seen in a stock pond on the
eastside of the agricultural field above the south end of Etheldore
Street in Moss Beach, at Highway 1. A juvenile COMMON TERN was seen
from Ocean Boulevard in Moss Beach during a seawatch.

On Aug 27, a RED PHALAROPE was foraging between the two small islands
in the control pond at the end of Radio Road in Redwood Shores.

Marin Co.

On Aug 27, (24) RED-NECKED PHALAROPE were at the Las Gallinas Sewage
Ponds in San Rafael. ("Art Lyons")

On Aug 27, a CONNECTICUT WARBLER was at the bottom of the end of the
trees by the swale at the Nunes Ranch. On Aug 26, a VIRGINIA'S WARBLER
was in the 3rd clump up of New Willows from the Elephant Seal pullout.
Both locations are at Pt Reyes National Seashore. (Rich Stallcup)

Yuba and Placer Co.

On Aug 27, a juvenile LONG-TAILED JAEGER is being seen at Camp
Far West Reservoir. It can be reached from Hwy 65 by taking Wise Road
east to McCourtney Road and taking McCourtney north to the reservoir.
Most of the reservoir can be seen from the dam along McCourtney Road.

On Aug 27, a pair of BLACK SKIMMER were roosting with the terns and
gulls on the main levee between the ponds at the Sunnyvale
Water Pollution Control Plant. (Peter Metropulos)

On Aug 27, the BAIRD'S SANPIPER continues in the SW corner of
Shollenberger Park in Petaluma. (80) CATTLE EGRET were seen in a field
along Pepper Road, between Walker Road and Mecham Road.
A PECTORAL SANDPIPER was seen at Doran Beach opposite the
