Note: We may supply for many sightings (AT THE END OF THIS REPORT) links for

we have specific information from GPS readings, we will alert you to the
fact. After you go to the link, go to the BOTTOM of the form and choose

adjust the zoom factor).

Santa Ana River:
Monday: Lakeview Crossing, juvenile SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER. Also two
PECTORAL SANDPIPERS along the River, one about 300 to 400 yards north of
Lincoln (continuing from Friday). Also in Eucs along the bike path above
Lincoln on Monday a VIRGINIA WARBLER (continuing from Sunday). On Monday in
a small reservoir north of the river and on the west side of the Glassell
crossing, a small flock of YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS.
Saturday: 2 SOLITARY SANDPIPERS one north of Lincoln and one south.
San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary:
Sept. 1st: GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE at "Tree Hill" along Riparian Way....parking
area.
Monday: LEAST BITTERN heard calling from pond 4.
Bolsa Chica:
Monday: north end, late afternoon, REDDISH EGRET. LEAST BITTERN calling off
of Harriet Wieder Park (south end of Bolsa).
Thurs and Friday: juvenile STILT SANDPIPER off of Harriet Wieder, and 2
WHITE-WINGED DOVES on Thursday and one on Friday.
Another sighting of a REDDISH EGRET was made on Sept. 2nd in the wetland
mitigation area off of the lower Santa Ana River above Pacific Coast
Highway.
San Juan Creek, Dana Point:
Monday: 2 juvenile BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS near the Pacific Coast Highway bridge
crossing.
Sunday: 2 WHITE-WINGED DOVES on an antenna in a trailer home park, south
side of creek next to the Stonehill Bridge.
Also on Monday LEAST BITTERNS seen at Laguna Niguel Regional Park on the
island.
Huntington Central Park:
Monday: NORTHERN PARULA continued on the east side of Huntington Central
Park.
Friday: adult male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK refound on east side of park.
