This is Dave DeReamus, for the Eastern PA Birdline, sponsored by the Lehigh
Valley Audubon Society, recorded on August 31st at 9:00 PM.
There will be a field trip to the Whitehall Parkway on September 9th. Meet
at the Tilghman Square Parking lot, near the Red Robin restaurant, just west
of Route 309 at 7:30 AM. Trip leader will be Ted Fritzinger.

Sightings from BEAR SWAMP, Northampton County included:
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 1 on 8/26.
Sightings from WILLIAMS TOWNSHIP, Northampton County included:
Great-crested and Least Flycatcher, Canada, Prairie, Blue-winged and
Magnolia Warbler, and Bobolink.
Sightings from the GREEN POND area, Northampton County included:
At the flooded field:
Great Egrets - 19 on 8/29 (new high count for the site)
STILT SANDPIPERS - up to 5 from 8/28 to at least 8/30
BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS - 2 from 8/23 to 8/28
WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER - 1 on 8/28
Semipalmated Plover - 1 from 8/25 to at least 8/26.
Also Green-winged Teal, Semipalmated Sandpiper, and Bobolink.
Sightings from the MONOCACY NATURE CENTER, Northampton County included:
MOURNING WARBLER - 1 on 8/29
YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT - 1 on 8/29.
Also Magnolia, Chestnut-sided, Black-and-white, and Black-throated Green
Warbler, and American Redstart.
Sightings from the BELTZVILLE LAKE area, Carbon County included:
BLACK TERNS - 7 on 8/30.
Bald Eagle - 1 on 8/30
Semipalmated Plover - 1 on 8/30.
Sightings from BAKE OVEN KNOB, Lehigh County included:
Bald Eagles - 3 on 8/31.
Sightings from LEASER LAKE, Lehigh County included:
Great Egrets - 2 to at least 8/26
Wilson's Snipe - 2 on 8/26
NORTHERN GOSHAWK - 1 reported on 8/26.
Sightings from GREEN LANE RESERVOIR, Montgomery County included:
BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON - 1 on 8/23
BLACK TERNS - 13 on 8/28 (high count for the site?)
Also Bank Swallow.
Sightings from PEACE VALLEY PARK, Bucks County included:
BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON -1 juvenile seen this past week
Bald Eagle - 1 seen this past week
LAUGHING GULL 1 juvenile back on 8/16
COMMON TERN - 1 on 8/30.

Warbler, Northern Waterthrush, and Bobolink.
