San Francisco Co.

On Sept 20, a female BLACKBURIAN WARBLER was in the large warbler
flock along the Vista Grande Canal, between MH 5 and MH 4. This
location is across the street (John Muir Drive) from the Concrete Bridge
at the south end of Lake Merced. (Kevin McKereghan)

On Sept 21, (6) PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVERS, juvenile RUFF and juvenile
PECTORAL SANDPIPER were at Shollenberger Park in Petaluma.

On Sept 21, a CLAY-COLRED SPARROW was found on the south side of Alameda
Creek, 100 meters downstream from the Alvarado Blvd crossing, west of
Interstate 880. (John Sterling)

On Sept 20, a COMMON MURRE, (3-4) WANDERING TATTLERS and (6) SANDERLINGS
were found during a falling high tide on the Mare Island jetty.

On Sept 21, a BANK SWALLOW was in a flock of Barn Swallow over the
parking lot at the Alviso Marina, near the Cannery. (John Sterling)
On Sept 20, at least two RUFFS were seen on the mud islands at State and
Speckles in Alviso. (Hugh Harvey)
Mendocino Co.

On Sept 19, (2) MAGNOLIA WARBLERS, a BLACKBURIAN WARBLER and
(2) CLAY-COLORED SPARROW were seen at Usal Campground on the Lost Coast.
On Sept 20, a MAGNOLIA WARBLER, BLACKPOLL WARBLER, TENNESSEE WARBLER and
(3) CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS were seen at Usal Campground. This is reached
by taking the dirt road north off of Highway 1 at mile marker 90.86.
The campground is 6 miles north along this road.
