This is the Chicago Audubon Society bird report for Sunday, September 24, 2006 at
10:00am.
A SAY?S PHOEBE was seen Friday and Saturday at the North Unit of Illinois Beach
State Park. It was seen north of the signs that mark the entrance to the sailing
beach and the hawkwatch pavilion, as well as near the shelter to the east near the
sailing beach.
A SABINE?S GULL and a PARASITIC JAEGER were seen yesterday at Heidecke Lake in
Grundy County.
Yesterday at Montrose were SHARP-TAILED SPARROW, MERLIN, and 13 species of warblers.
Twenty-three species of warblers were seen Wednesday at Elsen?s Hill.
