Highlights: STREAKED SHEARWATER, STILT SANDPIPER, RUFF,
BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER, PARASITIC JAEGER, EURASIAN COLLARED DOVES,
WESTERN KINGBIRD, YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER (possible),
YELLOW-GREEN VIREO, GRAY CATBIRD, TENNESSEE WARBLER,CANADA WARBLER,
BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER, BLACKPOLL WARBLER, BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER,
BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER, AMERICAN REDSTART, MAGNOLIA WARBLER,
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK, GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE, CLAY-COLORED SPARROW,
WHITE-THROATED SPARROW, VESPER SPARROW, ORCHARD ORIOLE, HOODED ORIOLE.

On Sept 30, the TROPICAL KINGBIRD continues at the south end of
Lake Merced. The bird was seen on the wires behind MH1 marker along
John Muir Drive. The two EURASIAN COLLARED DOVES continues on the wires over
the Vista Grande Canal behind MH6, across from the Concrete Bridge
at the south end of Lake Merced. The GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE continues east
of the junction between the glade and the south end of Middle Lake in
Golden Gate Park. (Mike Feighner)
On Sept 30, a juvenile STILT SANDPIPER was from in the gully near
the stone bridge at Lake Merced. (Steve Katz)

On Sept 30, a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was in the willows adjoining the
north side of the main lagoon (running parallel with the road),
just east of the picnic table area at Rodeo Lagoon in the Marin
Headlands. (William Legge)
On Sept 30, at Pt Reyes National Seashore, at Road Fork Pool (the pond
at the junction of the roads to the Lighthouse and Chimney Rock, the
YELLOW-GREEN VIREO was re-found here by Gil Ewing. The Nunes Ranch
("A" Ranch) had a MAGNOLIA WARBLER, BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER, and
BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER. A CLAY-COLORED SPARROW and
WHITE-THROATED SPARROW were in the weedy field across the road from
the Nunes Ranch. The BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER and (5) BLACKPOLL WARBLERS
were from in the Mendoza Ranch trees ("B" Ranch). There was a report of
an AMERICAN REDSTART at Junior Mendoza ("B" Ranch). A CANADA WARBLER

On Sept 30, at Outer Pt Reyes, an interesting empid which could be
a YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER at the Road Forks Pool. (Tdd Easterla)
On Sept 30, at Outer Pt Reys, a GRAY CATBIRD was found at the Fish Docks.

On Sept 30, at Outer Pt Reyes, a HOODED ORIOLE was seen at the Nunes
ranch ("A" Ranch). An ORCHARD ORIOLE was seen at the Mondoza Ranch,
("B" Ranch). A WESTERN KINGBIRD was seen at Mendoza Junior.

On Sept 30, at Outer Pt Reyes, a TENNESSEE WARBLER was found at the
Nunes Ranch ("A" Ranch). An AMERICAN RESTART and VESPER SPARROW were at
Mendoza Junior. A BLACKPOLL WARBLER was at the RCA trees. The
BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER was half way down the lagoon at Abbott's Lagoon.
And a RUFF was seen at the south end near a blue barrow. (Matt Brady)

On Sept 30, a second-autumn male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was in a
yard on the 400 block of Montecito Drive in Corte Madera.
Yesterday in the Corte Madera Marsh, a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW
was with a small flock of White-crowned Sparrows and Song Sparrows at
the intersection of the trail that proceeds north from the north end
of Baja St. (one of those streets north of Paradise Drive and just
east of Harbor), and the main trail that goes along the levee which
forms the south boundary of the marsh proper.

On Sept 30, Shearwater Journey's pelagic trip from Monterey Bay
today produced awesome megararity a STREAKED SHEARWATER,
spotted by Scott Terrill. The bird was followed for nearly45 minutes.
Every single birder on board the boat saw the bird, and
some excellent digital photographs were captured. You can look for
these on our web site: www.shearwaterjourneys.com later this week.
In addition, we found (8,000) STORM-PETRELS, mostly ASHY STORM-PETRELS,
along with (200) BLACK STORM-PETRELS, and 2-3 WILSON'S STORM-PETRELS.

On Sept 30, a seawatch from Ocean Boulevard in Moss Beach reported
(4,700) Elegant Terns with (41) PARASITIC JAEGERS following them.
Checking the Princeton Willows, on the trail on the westside of
the willows, an early hatch-year WHITE-THROATED SPARROW flew to
a Coyote Bush next to the road before the parking lot for
Pillar Point. (Ron Thorn)
