Birds reported:

Long-tailed Jaeger (not reported)
Black-necked Stilt
Lark Sparrow

The adult Long-tailed Jaeger that was discovered by Jim Flynn and Earl Horn
on Sunday from Lake Hartwell in Hart County has not been reported since
Tuesday. There have been no calls to the RBA nor any posts to Georgia
Birders Online. It's possible that no one has gone to look for it since
then. This is a beautiful and rare bird, only Georgia's third record for
this species. If you go to look for it please report to the RBA or GABO on
it's status.

To get to Lake Hartwell got east on US 29 out of Hartwell, GA. Before
getting totally out of Hartwell you'll approach a light where there is a BP
station. There is a sign, partially concealed by vegetation, that says Long
Point Recreation Area. Make a left there and follow the Lake Access signs
and go to the Long Point Recreation Area. Drive all the way to the end to a
little turn around area. Start birding there. Look back toward the dam,
this is where the bird has been seen.

A Black-Necked Stilt was reported at the J.L. Lector WMA in Polk County just
south of Cedartown in a pond close to the road that runs by the J. L. Lector
WMA. A few other shorebirds reported from this location were Least
Sandpiper, Lesser Yellowlegs, Solitary Sandpiper and also found was a
Northern Harrier.

Lydia Thompson reported from Jekyll Island on the soccer fields a Lark
Sparrow today. There were also 2 Roseate Spoonbills on the Jekyll Island
Causeway and a Marbled Godwit on the southwest beach and 10 Boblinks also on
the soccer fields.

today and a slow day for this time of year, only 44 individual warblers.

At the E. L. Huie Land Application Facility in Clayton County Carol Lambert
reported 21 Blue-winged Teal, 5 species of shorebirds and 5 species of
herons and egrets including Little Blue Heron, 1 Snowy Egret and Green
Heron.
