On Oct 7, a pelagic trip from Monterey covering three counties include
(43) BLACK-FOOTED ALBATROSSES, (21) NORTHERN FULMAR,
(1310) PINK-FOOTED SHEARWATER, (9) FLESH-FOOTED SHEARWATER,
(2750) BULLER'S SHEARWATER, (1) SHIRT-TAILED SHEARWATER,
(173) SOOTY SHEARWATER, (1) MANX SHEARWATER in Santa Cruz Co.,
(1) dark-morph PINK-FOOTED SHEARWATER, (274) ASHY STORM-PETREL,
(22) BLACK STROM-PETREL, (11) SOUTH POLAR SKUA, (35) POMARINE JAEGER,
(2) PARASITIC JAEGER and (2) SABINE'S GULL. (Debbie Shearwater)

On Oct 7, a TROPICAL KINGBIRD was seen in pines about 30-40 yards
west of the main parking area at Limantour Beach at Pt Reyes National
Seashore. (David Wimpfheimer)
On Oct 7, at Pt Reyes, (2) PALM WARBLERS were in the pines
trees beyond the garage at the Fish Docks, a VESPER SPARROW was about
100 yards beyond the parking lot on the route to the Lighthouse,
CLAY-COLORED SPARROW, WHITE-THROATED SPARROW and VARIED THRUSH and
TROPICAL KINGBIRD were at the Nunes Ranch. (Ed DeBellevue)
On Oct 7, a TROPICAL KINGBIRD was seen half way down the north operation

On Oct 7, a TROPICAL KINGBIRD was on the trail leading out toward Pillar
Point at Princeton Harbor. The bird was on the barbed wire fence on the
ridge above the trail, not far from the cypress tree grove. At Venice
Beach, a male WOOD DUCK, (2) RING-BILLED GULLS and (2) GLAUCOUS-WINGED
GULLS were found at the mouth of the creek. (Matthew Dodder)
On Oct 7, a sea watch from Ocean Boulevard in Moss Beach reported
(12) NORTHERN FULMAR, (1) SHORT-TAILED SHEARWATER,
(4) BULLER'S SHEARWATER, (1) BLACK-VENTED SHEARWATER,
(3) POMARINE JAEGER, (35) PARASITIC JAEGER, and a COMMON TERN.
In Half Moon Bay, a flock of (25) GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were
flying north over the ocean. (Ron Thorn)

On Oct 7, a BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER was in the pines along
El Camino del Mar at Lincoln Park. The bird was above a bench that
is dedicated to Robin somebody. While watching the bird, an adult
BROAD-WINGED HAWK flew over. In the East Wash, there was a
TROPICAL KINGBIRD in the snags along the northwest edge. (Alan Hopkins)
On Oct 7, an immature type BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER was seen along
the boardwalk at Lobos Dunes. It flew over into the oaks on the north
side of Lobos Creek where we lost it. (Paul Saraceni)

On Oct 7, a LAPLAND LONGSPUR was found by Bob Steele at Asilomar State
Beach, across from the cove is a house with the address 1619 on it.
