This is the Chicago Audubon Society bird report for Tuesday, October
10, 2006 at 8:00pm.

Both a WESTERN GREBE and a RED-NECKED GREBE have been seen the last
several days at the southwest corner of McGinnis Slough.

Both SHARP-TAILED and LE CONTE'S SPARROWS were seen Monday at Montrose.

Three LE CONTE'S and four SHARP-TAILED SPARROWS were seen Saturday at
Rollins Savanna.

A GOLDEN EAGLE and a LE CONTE'S SPARROW were at Greene Valley Forest
Preserve on Monday. A SAY'S PHOEBE was at Greene Valley on September 24th.

On Monday a LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was at North Point Marina, and a
BAIRD'S SANDPIPER was on the Waukegan Beach along with BLACK-BELLIED
PLOVERS and SANDERLINGS.

A FRANKLIN'S GULL was seen Sunday on the 64th Street Beach.

On Saturday three LE CONTE'S SPARROWS were at Glacial Park, one LE
CONTE'S was at Pratt's Wayne Woods, and two SHARP-TAILED SPARROWS
were at Fermilab.

A YELLOW RAIL and a WHITE-WINGED DOVE were seen October 1st at
Illinois Beach State Park.
