VOICE OF AUDUBON MONDAY, OCTOBER 16 (2006)

A Yellow-headed Blackbird discovered yesterday off Shaw Road in
Fairhaven was still there today.

Weekend reports from Plum Island included 118 American Wigeon, 125
Northern Pintail, roughly 100 Green-winged Teal, 1 Red-throated Loon, 2
Red-necked Grebes, 2 Great Egrets, 1 Peregrine Falcon, 45 Semipalmated
Sandpipers, 5 Pectoral Sandpipers, 1 White-rumped Sandpiper, 1 Baird's
Sandpiper, 1 Marsh Wren, 5 American Pipits, 17 Saltmarsh Sharp-tailed
Sparrows, and 2 "Ipswich" Savannah Sparrows.

Seen on a boat trip to waters roughly 17 miles southeast of Gloucester
were 26 Surf Scoters, 2 Greater Shearwaters, 6 Northern Fulmars, 11
Northern Gannets, 19 Black-legged Kittiwakes, and 1 Razorbill, and at
Harbor Point in Dorchester there were 36 Red-breasted Mergansers, 1
Ruddy Duck, 50 Bonaparte's Gulls, 1 Laughing Gull, 50 Forster's Terns, 4
Fish Crows, 4 Nashville Warbler, 1 Vesper Sparrow, and 2 Lincoln's
Sparrows.

Seen at various points between Bolton and Harvard were 1 Northern
Harrier, 11 Sharp-shinned Hawks, 1 Peregrine Falcon, 32 Wilson's Snipe,
7 Eastern Phoebes, 5 American Pipits, 1 Orange-crowned Warbler, 1
Grasshopper Sparrow, 13 White-crowned Sparrows, 1 Bobolink, and 12 Rusty
Blackbirds, and at Belle Isle Marsh in East Boston there were 16
Green-winged Teal, 5 Great Egrets, 3 Ospreys, 1 Semipalmated Sandpiper,
1 Pectoral Sandpiper, 6 Wilson's Snipe, and 3 Eastern Meadowlarks.

Weekend reports from Nantucket included 292 Greater Scaup, 1 Ruddy Duck,
3 Pied-billed Grebes, 7 American Coots, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 2000
Tree Swallows, and 1 Chestnut-sided Warbler, and miscellaneous reports
included an Osprey and 7 Wilson's Snipe in Newbury, 2 Redheads and a
Horned Grebe at the Cherry Hill Reservoir in West Newbury, a Cattle
Egret in Essex, a Lesser Black-backed Gull at Long Wharf in Boston, a
Black-throated Blue Warbler, a White-crowned Sparrow, and a Blue
Grosbeak in the Fenway section of Boston, a Yellow-breasted Chat in
Fairhaven, and a Eurasian Wigeon in the Marston Mills section of
Barnstable.

will no longer be in service, but all four recorded reports from
throughout the state will continue to be accessible through the new
