No sightings reported for Tuesday, October 10th
Sightings for Monday, October 9th:
A ROCK WREN was found at Cypress Bowl, West Vancouver.
It was on the rock face just before the small parking lot on the right
before the main upper parking lot. At the Vancouver lookout at
Cypress Bowl was an ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD.
The first NORTHERN SHRIKE reported this fall was at the Reifel
Bird Sanctuary in Delta.
Sightings for Sunday, October 8th:
4 PARASITIC JAEGERS were seen from Lighthouse Marine Park, Point
Roberts, Washington
No sightings reported for October 6th or 7th
Sightings for Thursday, October 5th:
2000 SNOW GEESE are now present at the Reifel Sanctuary,
as well as one WHITE-THROATED SPARROW
Sightings for Wednesday, October 4th:
TURKEY VULTURES were on the move with one over Fort Langley and a
kettle of 19 over Tyee Drive at Point Roberts, WA.
No sightings for October 3rd.
Sightings for Monday, October 2nd:
A MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE was observed visiting a feeder at Willowleaf
Place in Burnaby.
An immature NORTHERN GOSHAWK was seen at Beach Grove Park in
Tsawwassen.
2 first winter WESTERN GULLS were at the White Rock pier, White
Rock.
Sightings for Sunday, October 1st:
At the stone bridge at Lost Lagoon in Vancouver's Stanley Park,
1 adult white-striped and 1 adult tan-striped WHITE-THROATED
SPARROW were present.
4-5 SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPERS were in the West Field at Reifel in
Delta. At the Roberts Bank coal port, also in Delta, the 2 BUFF-
BREASTED SANDPIPERS continue at the base of the jetty on
the south side.
A MARBLED GODWIT stopped briefly on the NW Pond at Iona Island in
Richmond. Also here was a STILT SANDPIPER.
