A possible WINTER WREN was identified at Mile Square Park by the pond of the
Nature Area last Thursday.

A VERMILION FLYCATCHER was seen a week ago at the El Toro Golf Course in two
locations on two separate days. Once near hole #6 (northern part of course)
and once by hole #12 (near old runways). We have had records from last
summer of this species at this location.

On Friday above Lincoln along the bike trail along the Santa Ana River, a
BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER, probably a fall immature male, was sighted. It was
reported again on Saturday in the same location.

Yesterday, in the Santa Ana River bed by Adams two BOBOLINK continued. On
the 12th a SOLITARY SANDPIPER was along the Santa Ana River about 1/4 mile
south of Lincoln.

Reports continue of a Black and White Warbler at Huntington Central Park on
the east side. On the 15th a BLACKPOLL WARBLER was seen on the east side of
the park. On the 16th at least two NORTHERN WATERTHRUSHES continued as
well, one at the "wet spot", the other closer to the Jack Green Nature Area.
Also on the 16th a GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET was south of the Island.

At Laguna Niguel Regional Park last Sunday the adult male AMERICAN REDSTART
and PLUMBEOUS VIREO continued, and a TENNESSEE WARBLER was also found. A
hybrid Hermit X Townsend's Warbler (HETO WARBLER) was also identified.
