Recent reports from the Newburyport-Plum Island area have included 105
Gadwall, 1 Eurasian Wigeon, 185 American Wigeon, roughly 500 American
Black Ducks, 180 Northern Pintail, 620 Green-winged Teal, 1 Greater
Scaup, roughly 100 Surf Scoter, 400 White-winged Scoter, 1 Long-tailed
Duck, 40 Red-breasted Mergansers, 3 Red-throated Loons, 31 Great Egrets,
9 Snowy Egrets, 1 Osprey, 6 Northern Harriers, 1 Peregrine Falcon, 3
Semipalmated Plovers, 140 Greater Yellowlegs, 10 Lesser Yellowlegs, 1
Hudsonian Godwit, roughly 80 Semipalmated Sandpipers, 2 Western
Sandpipers, 14 White-rumped Sandpipers, 3 Pectoral Sandpipers, 420
Dunlin, 1 Long-billed Dowitcher, 415 Bonaparte's Gulls, 2 Common Terns,
3 Red-eyed Vireos, 2 Tree Swallows, 28 Golden-crowned Kinglets, 15
Ruby-crowned Kinglets, 31 Hermit Thrushes, roughly 100 American Pipits,
2 Orange-crowned Warblers, 260 Yellow-rumped Warblers, 9 Field Sparrows,
27 Dark-eyed Juncos, 46 Lapland Longspurs, 1 Indigo Bunting, and 1 Rusty
Blackbird.

Seen at the Dunback Meadow Conservation Area in Lexington were 1
Northern Harrier, 11 Ruby-crowned Kinglets, 2 Gray-cheeked Thrushes, 2
Hermit Thrushes, 50 Yellow-rumped Warblers, 2 Black-throated Green
Warblers, 1 Winter Wren, 125 White-throated Sparrows, and roughly 100
Song Sparrows, and at Fresh Pond in Cambridge there were 12 Ring-necked
Ducks, 54 Ruddy Ducks, 1 American Bittern, 8 American Coots, and 125
American Goldfinches.

A report from Stellwagen Bank included 3 Greater Shearwaters, 2 Northern
Fulmars, 1 unidentified jaeger, and 15 Black-legged Kittiwakes, at
Harbor Point in Dorchester there were 7 Red-breasted Mergansers, 1
Forster's Tern, 75 distant, unidentified terns, 1 Nashville Warbler, and
1 White-crowned Sparrow, and miscellaneous reports this week have
included a Golden Eagle in Topsfield, a Black Skimmer in Essex Bay,
roughly 7800 American Robins coming into an evening roost in Westford,
another Black Skimmer and a Connecticut Warbler in South Boston, an
Orange-crowned Warbler in the Fenway section of Boston, 2 Wilson's
Snipe, 1 Vesper Sparrow, and 7 Eastern Meadowlarks in West Roxbury, 1
Black-throated Green Warbler and a Dickcissel at the Rock Meadow
Conservation Area in Belmont, 20 Brant and 25 Northern Gannets at
Duxbury Beach, a Red-necked Grebe and 6 Red Knots at Plymouth Beach, a
Clay-colored Sparrow in Marshfield, a Northern Shoveler, 1 Eurasian
Wigeon, and roughly 100 American Wigeon in the Marstons Mills section of
Barnstable, and 5 Merlins, 1 Red-headed Woodpecker, and 1
Yellow-breasted Chat at Nantucket.
