Carmel:
A juvenile AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER was seen today on the beach south of
the Carmel River mouth. [R J Adams] [Don Roberson]
An unusual warbler that resembles a YELLOW WARBLER but has wing bars and
white tail spots was reported again today just up stream from the green
pipe. One and perhaps two HOODED WARBLERS were seen or heard today.

Big Sur:
A NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH was seen at Andrew Molera State Park just across
from the BSOL banding lab. [Mike Tyner]
Monterey Bay:
Shearwater Journeys trip on Monterey Bay today reports huge numbers of
birds. 5 Species of Shearwater: Sooties, Pink-footed, Flesh-footed,
Buller's and Black-vented. One LAYSAN ALBATROSS, 18 BLACK-FOOTED
ALBATROSS, all three JAEGER, ASHY STORM PETREL and SOUTH POLAR SKUA.
