Feature Birds:

Short-eared Owl

Friday December 1

A Short-eared Owl was seen on the shoreline rocks at Clover Point
There have been a number of reports of Townsends Warblers coming to
feeders in Saanich/Central Saanich

Thursday November 30th

No reports

Wednesday November 29th

A Brown Pelican, was seen by a birder using the Race Rocks webcam, you
can find the webcam by going to racerocks.com

A POSSIBLE Snowy Owl was reported around the Songhees area of the
Victoria inner harbour, this sighting cannot be 100% confirmed, if
there are any birders that may be venturing out around the harbour and
waterfront area and see the bird, an update would be appreciated

Tuesday the 28th

A Gray-crowned Rosy Finch was reported at the Carmanah Lighthouse


No reports for Monday the 27th


Sunday November 26th

a Brown Pelican was reported off Ten Mile Point, and was seen flying
away southward, and a Townsends Warbler was at a feeder in Central Saanich.


No reports for the 25th and 24th

Continuing Birds

6 Yellow-rumped Warblers at Swan Lake
1 Rock Wren at Island View Beach
1 Blue Jay coming to feeders at the corner of West Saanich and Tapping Rd
