UNRECORDED
***RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER***

Here is the Iowa Rare Bird Alert Update for Sunday, December 10th, 2006:

SOUTHWEST:
POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY: In a belated report, a RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER was
observed and photographed near Council Bluffs on 6 December, but has not
been relocated since. Specific directions are unavailable, but the bird was
seen along Perry Road. Perry Road is located west of the I-80 junction with
Hwy. 6 just east of Council Bluffs. At the junction of Hwy. 6 and Railroad
Hwy. (K-Mart complex), turn north and continue to Birdsley Road, the first
intersection to the left. There is a VERY slight jog until one comes to
Perry Road to the right. Other roads that may be of interest to check wuld
be Mud Hollow and Honeysuckle. Another update will be issued if the bird can
be relocated.
